Shining Stars is a private childcare services located within Western Community Primary School. It is open from 7.30am until 6pm Monday to Friday during school term time only. We provide a fun and exciting breakfast and after school club for children up to the age of 11 and a flexible, fun, friendly day nursery for children aged two, three and four.
Here at Shining Stars, we appreciate how difficult juggling life can be. Our mission is to make our parents life as easy as possible by providing a caring and nurturing environment that allows children to learn, play, be curious and make friends and most of all have fun while the grown-ups work.
Shining Stars have their own outside area which is used daily by all children. A construction area, sand and tyres are all available for the children. The children also have access to planting seeds and flowers on a regular basis and a mud kitchen. Inside, Shining Stars offers a wealth of awe, curiosity, and wonder. Invitations to play with real-life materials combined with natural resources and loose parts allow children to become engaged in their own style of learning.
We work in partnership with the school nursery to provide up to 30 hours per week of funded childcare to eligible three and four year olds and we also offer up to 15 hours per week of funded childcare to eligible two, three and four year olds.
