Funded by Awards for All ( Big Lottery) Park View Project are developing their volunteer mentoring scheme. We are encouraging individuals from all walks of life who live in North Tyneside who like working with vulnerable young and older people, by providing mentoring on day-to day digital challenges. The aim is to provide supported training opportunities which increase awareness of the problems many face as consequence of the rapid transformation in the way communities interact via a digital presence. Many we support are vulnerable who may experience challenges we take for granted. For example, those with a Learning Disability, those lacking access to digital services because of poverty, older individuals who lack confidence and basic skills to use the internet and who risk losing their independence because they can't access socially essential services.
