Employability projects to support adults into work or learning
We offer:
Employability Projects including Wise Steps (ESF funded) to support residents with multiple barriers to employment;
Generation NE (ESF funded) to support young people aged 18-29 to address barriers and gain employment.
Employability Courses including preparation for work, Sector Based Work Academies (SBWA), digital skills and a wide range of adult learning courses aimed at engaging residents in learning to move them towards sustainable employment. We also offer 'Get Into' courses that provide vocational tasters to residents to understand work in particular sectors and industries.
A highly skilled team of Employment Advisers and Tutors provide a professional service to address resident's barriers to employment.
The team works in the community and across a range of venues to deliver support.
The team work closely with Jobcentre Plus, including co-location in Jobcentres, and with a wide range of partners to ensure that support is coordinated and delivers outstanding outcomes.
