OUR AFTER-SCHOOL CLUB FOR 8-13 YEAR OLDS TO ENCOURAGE CHILDREN TO ACTIVELY TAKE PART IN FUN ACTIVITIES IN A SAFE AND CARING ENVIRONMENT
OUR ACTIVITIES
These activities help kids to build social networks with peers and, as individuals, build confidence and self-esteem:
- Growing their own fruit and vegetables in our community gardens.
- Crafts and games.
- Fundraising to enable them to plan extra trips and activities.
- Cooking for themselves and their parents and undertaking competitions like ‘Come Dine with Me’.
- Sports and dance using the centre’s multi-purpose ball courts and climbing frames.
- Homework help, digital activities, arts and crafts and lots more centre-based fun.
TIMES AND PRICES
We’re open Monday to Thursday 3.15 – 6.00 pm during term-time and for longer days during part of school the holidays.
For £2.00 kids can enjoy 2½ hours of fun, social interaction and learning and will have a bite to eat as well!
To support working parents, we also do a walking train directly from local primary schools. For an extra £1.50 we will collect your child from school, taking them safely directly to our centre on Waterville Road to allow you can relax and concentrate on work until collection time between 5.45 - 6.00 pm
