Dimensions is one of the country's leading not-for-profit organisations supporting people with learning disabilities and autism. Our approach to delivery is built around personalisation and enablement. We provide evidence-based outcome-focused support for people with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Needs and help people to become actively engaged in their communities.
We have been providing high quality support services for over 40 years, currently working with around 4,000 people and their families (including 800 people with autism), and with over 80 Local Authorities and CCG's throughout England and Wales. This includes over 800 Supported Living services, from single-person through to larger shared living services.
In the North East of England we have been an established provider since 1997. We currently work in 9 of the 12 Local Authority areas, supporting 136 people and with a CQC rating of 'good' in all domains across all of our services in the North East.
We also specialise in providing services for people with significant behavioural support needs and have supported people who have come from long-stay hospital and assessment/treatment units or out-of-county placements; working with various local authorities in establishing and providing high quality local support so that people can return to their home county.
We offer a wide range of services to young people and adults of all ages. We provide:
- support for people living in their own homes or in shared housing
- support for people to find and maintain suitable accommodation
- a Referrals and Assessment Manager to help individuals and their families with a direct payment
- transition support for young people leaving school or college
- specialist behaviour consultancy and training
We work in partnership with other organisations to ensure the best possible combination of services.
