Macmillan Support Services provide emotional support for adults (18+) who live in North Tyneside or Northumberland and are affected by cancer or life limiting illness and for those who are bereaved.

We can provide a time limited number of confidential one to one sessions, tailored to the needs of the person.

Macmillan Support Services offer support for anticipatory grief, for carers/ family, patient and bereavement support.

Patients are assessed by a coordinator then support is provided by a volunteer, we can support clients face to face within their own homes or at an agreed venue.

Support is available to adults over the age of 18

• Living in, or with a GP in North Tyneside or Northumberland.

• Bereaved by any cause of death

• Any relationship

• No current complex mental health issues

• No current alcohol or drug dependency issues

• Referrals are accepted from GPs/health professionals via email or post

Group/peer support offered via Walk & Talk or Bereavement Café and the Annual Remembrance service
