Could you be working for yourself? Exploring self employment
The Business Factory covers all of North Tyneside and is here to provide help, support and guidance to people who are thinking about starting a business, or have been running one for a while.
We understand what it means to balance the money at home in the first few months of working for yourself. Our experienced and professional advisers and consultants have the knowledge to help you through the process regardless of your circumstances or motivation.
Unemployed? For those who are unemployed and fancy working for themselves we can support you through the Government's New Enterprise Allowance Scheme too.
Could you be working for yourself? You are invited to come along to our regular workshops to see if working for yourself could be an option. If you're not sure where to start, you might like to book a place on a Could I Work For Myself? Workshop. They run for 3 hours, on various dates and times to work around people's personal commitments (the 10am workshop is ideal for after the school run for instance).
An invitation to our fellow support organisations We are available to deliver group workshops in the community. This is often more comfortable, and easier to access, for some North Tyneside residents. Our fellow support organisations are invited to contact Janice Ross to discuss what will work for your members.
Do I have to pay for this service? No, all workshops and support are provided to you free of charge. We are funded by North Tyneside Council and European Regional Development Funding.
