Whitley Women Community Choir welcomes all women who like to sing. We have no auditions and a wide repertoire of music to suit all singers. We are led by Gilly Love, an experienced singing leader who has led several community choirs around Tyneside in the last 10 years. We have 2 sessions every week in term-time, on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. Members attend either or both sessions and women from both sessions get together to sing at local community events such as Whitley Bay Carnival, as well as when sharing our repertoire with families and friends at occasional concerts. Every year we choose a local charity to support with proceeds from regular raffles and money donated when we sing.
